Middle School Science Teacher 

Starts:  August 28, 2024 (Upon completion of background check and clearance)

Terms of Employment:  10-month teaching position; salary based on association contract

Qualifications:

 Required - Valid NJ Instructional Certifications:

• Subject Matter Specialization in Middle School Science Grades 5-8, Teacher of Science, or Elementary Teacher (Standard, CE, or CEAS)

• Criminal history background check, proof of U.S. Citizenship, or eligibility to work in the U.S. required.

• New Jersey Residency required.

Responsibility:

• Provide middle school science instruction to 6, 7, and 8th grades, provide middle school ELA instruction to one middle school grade level

• Works collaboratively with colleagues to coordinate instructional activities, monitor the progress of each pupil, and provide support instruction in an inclusion classroom.

• Establishes and maintains a positive classroom climate, providing opportunities for students’ social and emotional growth.

• Maintains student records of academic progress to provide individualized, data-driven instruction. 

• Maintains good relationships with students, parents, and other staff members.

• Meets professional responsibilities as outlined by the district.

Part-time Spanish Teacher 

Starts:  August 28, 2024 (Upon completion of background check and clearance)

Terms of Employment:  1 day per week - 10-month teaching position; salary based on association contract

Qualifications:

 Required - Valid NJ Instructional Certifications:

• Valid NJ Teaching Certificate or certificate of eligibility Spanish (code 1550)

• Criminal history background check, proof of U.S. Citizenship, or eligibility to work in the U.S. required.

Responsibility:

• Teach Spanish language and culture to Kindergarten through 8th students, helping them to develop their language proficiency and cultural awareness

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum standards and objectives

• Establishes and maintains a positive classroom climate, providing opportunities for students’ social and emotional growth.

• Maintains good relationships with students, parents, and other staff members.

• Meets professional responsibilities as outlined by the district.

Instructional Aide Position

Starts:   August 28, 2024 (Upon completion of background check and clearance)

Job Title:   Instructional Aide (Part-Time - 5.50 hours per day)

Qualifications:   High School Diploma or higher level of education

State-required fingerprinting and background checks

Location:           Chatsworth Elementary School

               2 John Bowker Jr. Blvd.

               Chatsworth, NJ 08019

Schedule:      5 out of 5 days per week, following the district’s 10-month calendar
