Thank you to the Woodland Education Foundation for providing the funding for the 6th grade camping trip at Camp Ockanickon. The students enjoyed the experience!

Thank you to the Woodland Education Foundation the Chatsworth PTO for providing all the funding for another successful 7th and 8th grade trip to New York City! Students visited Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum and the M&M’s store, followed by The Outsiders musical, and Bubba Gump Shrimp Company for dinner. The rain made the trip even more memorable!☔️🌧️

This is the third year that CJHS member Abby Daniels has run the Jog-A-Thon event at Chatsworth Elementary School to raise money for the Woodland Education Foundation. And a very special thank you to all the student volunteers

Join us on Thursday, April 3rd as we talk about the Science of Reading! We will be doing a take-home experiment, and these great science-themed prizes will be won by some lucky students!

Congratulations to the newest members of the Chatsworth Junior Honor Society!

Today was Green Day in our Read Across the Rainbow. We had a great laser and music assembly where we learned about being AVID readers:
ASK yourself if the story is fiction or nonfiction.
VISUALIZE the story in your head.
INTERPRET the words you read to gain understanding.
DECIDE what is happening and think about what will happen next.
This assembly was co-sponsored by the PTO and the Chatsworth Education Association through an NJEA Read Across New Jersey grant. Thank you to these two groups who do so much for our students!

We are celebrating Read Across the Rainbow this week in many ways! Each day is a different color to dress in. Our 3rd graders were in orange on Tuesday. Today our Kindergarteners were in their yellow and did a Read Across America STEM activity. They tried to see who could create the tallest Cat in the Hat patterned creation . Everyone was given 10 red cups and 10 white index cards to start with. They did a great job!❤️🤍🎩

We kicked off Read Across America week with our brightest reds! Thank you to our special guest readers, Trooper Hart and Trooper Nelson! It’s going to be a great week for reading!📖

It's time for Read Across America! Let's Read Across the Rainbow this week!🌈📖

Our students enjoyed a presentation about oral health this week. The presentation was given by Kelly Gemignani of Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers, Inc. It was made possible by the Children’s Oral Health Program, an initiative of the New Jersey Department of Health. 🦷🪥

Our second graders and fourth graders teamed up today to make some crafts for Valentines Day. 💝

We had some “friend twinning” in kindergarten for Valentine’s Day! ❤️
