Last Friday, after the Kindergarten class learned about the letters “P” and “J”, they celebrated with a special PJ Day! The kids had a wonderful time learning while all cozy in their own pajamas!!

November 4th, our Chatsworth Bucks participated in a fun and engaging school-wide voting activity where every student had the chance to cast their ballot for both their favorite ice cream flavor and their favorite baked good.
Along the way, students learned about the rules of voting and the process it takes to tally up results, making the experience both educational AND exciting.
With the help of Mrs. Casano and her kindergarten friends, the votes were carefully counted and the winners were announced at lunch.
The results: Chocolate Chip Mint was crowned the favorite ice cream flavor and Cookies took the top spot as the favorite baked good. 🍪🍦
It was a sweet day of learning, laughter, and school spirit for all of our Bucks!

-Kindergarten learned about pumpkin life cycles - They examined the pulp & seeds, made some really awesome predictions about whether they would sink or float, and as an added bonus, they got to sample some yummy pumpkin seeds that Mrs. Casano prepared for them!
-Third Grade took part in "hooking" their audience for their SpOoKy Stories! They all had a wonderful time creating these for their class!

Today our halls were filled with ghouls, giggles, and great costumes! From frightening goblins to pretty princesses, our students and staff sure did bring the Halloween spirit to life!
The highlight? Our beloved costume parade! Every costume was a masterpiece of creativity! It was clear how much thought and excitement went into each one. A huge round of applause to all our winners - Choosing just a few was no easy task with so many incredible looks on display.
A huge thank you to our fabulous staff, spirited students, PTO, and amazing parents for making today such a memorable celebration!

Yesterday our staff celebrated the retirement of an incredible PE teacher, Mrs. George! She has touched countless lives, inspired many young minds, and made learning truly special for all of our students at Chatsworth Elementary.
The school community will always remember the encouragement, guidance, and dedication she brought to every class, activity, and person she met. From inspiring teamwork and sportsmanship on the basketball court to helping each student discover their confidence and passion for staying active — her impact will last far beyond the gym walls.

Friday, our Chatsworth Bucks participated in an engaging and informative session all about fire prevention! We were thrilled to welcome our local firefighters who shared their expertise and demonstrated life-saving equipment. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of fire safety and being prepared.
**As an added bonus, Smokey the Bear surprised us with a visit**

Our staff & students are enjoying learning all about respect, and taking part in our Week of Repsect activities! Monday was Hawaiian Day & Tuesday was Crazy Socks Day! Looking forward to the rest of the week!
Last week, Kindergarten learned all about apples in science. One day, they compared apples to bananas. Another day, they used their 5 senses to learn more about each color apple. Then, Mrs Casano used a fun tool to peel and core the apples so everyone could examine the seeds. Finally, the class decided which color apple tasted best. The pink apple was the winner this year!! 🍏🍎
The Burlington County Library System started up their monthly visits to Chatsworth Elementary to give our students the opportunity to check out books right here at school!

Mrs Casano’s Kindergarten class visited the Pemberton branch of the Burlington County Library System today. Ms Theresa Preziosa, the Children’s Librarian, gave everyone a tour so they could learn all that the library has to offer the community. They got their own library cards and checked out some books. Now kindergarten is all ready for the Mobile Library to visit Chatsworth School the first Friday of each month.
