Mrs Casano’s Kindergarten class visited the Pemberton branch of the Burlington County Library System today. Ms Theresa Preziosa, the Children’s Librarian, gave everyone a tour so they could learn all that the library has to offer the community. They got their own library cards and checked out some books. Now kindergarten is all ready for the Mobile Library to visit Chatsworth School the first Friday of each month.

Our third graders wanted to show off their awesome picture day outfits along with their biggest smiles! 😀😀

Our 8th graders had an 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 opportunity yesterday to visit the BCIT Medford campus!
Students explored the many career and technical education programs offered, gaining valuable insight as they begin to think about their future high school options.
We are thankful to BCIT Medford for welcoming us and providing such an engaging and informative experience for our students.

This week, some of our students explored cool science topics, and completed awesome investigations to go along with them!
*Second Graders learned about the design process engineers use, and they created rafts that would float, provide safety for a passenger, and fit inside a particular space.
*Seventh Graders learned all about cells, and used microscopes to see cells & cell walls in pieces of garlic.
How cool is that?! 💡🔬

A big THANK YOU to Hot Diggidy Dog for another fun field trip to end the school year! You can expect to see us over the summer!🌭

Thanks to the Woodland Education Foundation, our Junior Honor Society members were able to visit the new Edelman Fossil Park and Museum in Mantua. They learned about the various dinosaurs and other creatures that inhabited our area. The students were also able to go into the quarry and dig for fossils!

Thanks to a generous Chatsworth family, our entire school was treated to Kona Ice. It was delicious, and we appreciated it!

Our Fourth graders had a science lesson on Body Structure and Function. They tested their heart rates.

Our 3rd and 4th graders worked together to create a mural.

Our 7th and 8th graders helped our Kindergarten and 1st graders master the art and science of flying kites. It was a fun activity for everyone! 🪁

Last week, our staff has been going under cover! We had a secret theme each day for our outfits. Monday was Rainbow of Colors, Tuesday was favorite team, Wednesday was animal prints, and Thursday was Twin Day. What we will do next? Stay tuned…😎

Thank you to the Woodland Education Foundation for providing the funding for the 6th grade camping trip at Camp Ockanickon. The students enjoyed the experience!

Thank you to the Woodland Education Foundation the Chatsworth PTO for providing all the funding for another successful 7th and 8th grade trip to New York City! Students visited Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum and the M&M’s store, followed by The Outsiders musical, and Bubba Gump Shrimp Company for dinner. The rain made the trip even more memorable!☔️🌧️

This is the third year that CJHS member Abby Daniels has run the Jog-A-Thon event at Chatsworth Elementary School to raise money for the Woodland Education Foundation. We raised $558.50 for the foundation! Thank you to all of the participants for joining in the fun and raising money for this worthy cause!

“Teamwork makes the dream work.” Our Kindergartners and Third Graders teamed up to make some beautiful Mother’s Day bouquets. 🌸
